Four people have been charged by RCMP in relation to an ATM theft after search warrants were executed last week in Onoway and Slave Lake.
An ATM was stolen at the Fas Gas service station on Main Street in Slave Lake on March 21st.
On March 27th, Slave Lake RCMP, with assistance from the Eastern Alberta District General Investigations Section (GIS), Crime Reduction Unit (CRU), and Divisional Intelligence Coordinators, judicially authorized search warrants at properties west of Slave Lake and in Onoway in relation to the ATM theft.
During the searches, officers seized a stolen pickup truck, approximately $24,000 in Canadian currency, methamphetamine and GHB, a stolen firearm and a prohibited assault-style rifle.
30-year-old Jamie Brown, 30-year-old Brittany Boyko, 37-year-old Darwyn Beaudry, and 40-year-old Corey Beaudry, are facing the following charges:
• Corey Beaudry: Break and enter, theft over $5000, mischief over $5000, possession for the purpose of trafficking and possession of a weapon plus additional charges.
• Darwyn Beaudry: Break and enter, theft over $5000, possession of stolen property, possession of weapon and failure to comply with release conditions plus additional charges.
• Jamie Brown: Possession for the purpose of trafficking, unauthorized possession of a firearm/prohibited weapon, fail to comply with release conditions.
• Brittany Boyko: Possession for the purpose of trafficking, unauthorized possession of a firearm/prohibited weapon.
All suspects have been released from custody by a Justice of the Peace following Judicial Interim Release Hearings.
Corey and Darwyn Beaudry are set to appear in Slave Lake Provincial Court on June 10, 2020. Brown and Boyko are set to appear in High Prairie Provincial Court on June 8, 2020.
