Two men were arrested in Woodlands County on May 15th in separate firearms incidents.
At 2:30 pm, Whitecourt RCMP responded to a report of shots fired in the Woodlands County area.
The report was false but a male was located on the roof of a house with a loaded rifle. He was cooperative and arrested without incident.
27-year-old Jesse Caithness-McGregor of Woodlands County was arrested for an outstanding warrant and charged with unauthorized possession of a firearm and careless use of a firearm.
While police were attending that incident, a second high priority call came in involving shots fired in Woodlands County.
That investigation revealed that a shot had been fired into the air. No one was injured.
The 58-year-old male suspect was arrested without incident. He was released with conditions and is scheduled to appear in Whitecourt Provincial Court on July 28th.
His name will not be released as his documents are waiting for judicial authorization.
