A Darwell, Alberta man is $100,000 richer, after winning on a lottery ticket he bought back in May.

Wesley Milne said he was shocked to win on the $4.00 Quick Pick DAILY GRAND ticket he had picked up for the May 25th draw. Milne had added the EXTRA to his ticket and matched the last six digits of the winning number – 6331508 – to take home a cool $100,000.

He had picked up his ticket the day before the draw at Beachside Market in Alberta Beach and discovered a few days later that he had won while using a ticket checker, but opted to hold off on claiming his prize until he could do so in person. Lottery prize offices had previously been closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Milne explained he will use the money to pay off some bills, and the rest will go in the bank.
